The Anglican and Episcopal tradition has historical depth in the United States despite its smaller current size. The Pew Research Center's 2023-24 Religious Landscape Study, published in February 2025, classifies the Episcopal Church and other Anglican bodies within the mainline Protestant grouping, which collectively represents 11% of US adults. The Episcopal Church is the largest Anglican body in the United States, with additional Anglican Continuing Churches representing smaller traditional Anglican communities.
